Bangla Cultural Fest

Bangla Cultural Fest 2026 took place on 25 October at Exeter Phoenix, bringing together around people from diverse communities to celebrate Bengali heritage, music, dance and culture.

Organised by BAAUL, with the support of Inclusive Exeter and Exeter City Council’s City Grant, the event featured captivating performances by renowned singers Abanti Sithi and Amit Dey, a beautiful dance performance by Pratiti Ghosh, and talented local performers.

We were honoured to have the Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Gemma Rolstone, officially open the celebration. We were also delighted to welcome Councillors Duncan Wood, Liz Pole and Diana Moore, whose presence made the occasion even more special.

Alongside the cultural performances, visitors enjoyed traditional food, clothing and craft stalls showcasing the richness of Bengali heritage and contributions from other communities.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of cultural pride, diversity and togetherness, creating meaningful connections between communities and bringing a little piece of Bengal to the heart of Exeter.

A heartfelt thank you to all our performers, volunteers, stallholders, supporters and everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable!
